    E-Brake scratching problem

    Hi guys,

    Got the e-brake installed yesterday, but when you get it disengaged it scratch against the tunnel metal
    any thoughts??

    Once you carpet it, it wont be a problem. If your concerned, slot the mounting holes or suck the panel in at that spot. I think there is a frame member behind there that you can rivet to.

    2nd pic looks like the rear mount is slotted. if you kick the rear mount inwards it will pivot the front away from the tunnel. just a suggestion....

    Another thing you could try: clearance between the parking brake mechanism and the sheetmetal is improved if the mounting brackets are staggered as shown below. The angle bracket on the lower left is on the outside of the parking brake mechanism. The one on the upper right is on the inside. My apologies if yours is already set up that way. Hard to tell from the photos.

    Also want to make sure the bolt heads that attach the parking brake handle are arranged as show (bolt heads to the inside; nuts on the outside).
