Hydro Boost 2.jpghydro Boost 1.jpg
On page 193 of the Mk IV base manual it says that I can use the 2001 brake hydro booster on my Mk IV. The mounting plate will not fit. I have attached photos. Does anyone have suggestions?

I think it may be part of the 4.6 option pack but Ffr has a special wrench to remove the plate and an adapter to install it with

I looked in their parts catalog and didn't see anything listed separate. i would either give them a call or post on the other forum to see if anyone has one they aren't using

FFR has a kit for hydroboost. It consists of the socket to remove the old backer plate and a new aluminum mounting plate that allows the unit to be bolted directly to the firewall. I believe they are about $85.
One FFR and one VFR. I like symmetry
I can loan you the tool of you pay shipping both ways, But you will still need the spacer from FFR.
FFinisher/AKA RE63
I don't see the hydroboost kit listed in the catalog any longer (it used to be). My records show it as FFR part # 13691 4.6l hydroboost kit. My guess is you'll need to call and speak to someone at FFR to get it but maybe it would help to at least know what it used to be identified as!

Thanks everyone for the great response. I'm embarrassed to say that the tool was in the 4.6 donor package and I didn't know it. Factory Five tech straightened me out.
