Axle Clamp Bracket Bottom Bolt Too Short

The 2" bolt that attaches the the axle clamp bracket to the flange on the housing is a little too short for the nut to engage the nylon lock. So it looks like we need a longer bolt. We found 2 1/2" grade 8 bolts but the original appears to be alloy steel. Would this be a suitable substitute or should we find the alloy steel one to replace it?

    Thanks in advance.

You should be fine. Make sure you put clamp on evenly. I never had a problem with my two of the 3-links using the FFR bolts.
