    Steering Joints

I'm having problems getting the steering joints onto the double D shaft for my 33 Hot Rod. I tried freezing the shaft and heating the U joint, but they won't make up. When I try and force it on slivers of metal are chipping off of the shaft. Also, the bearings are really tight as well. Is there a trick I'm missing?

They are a tight fit, I just worked with them to make sure they were perfectly square and then they would slide on.
