i love charts and graphs as much as the next guy, but even i'm confused by the "Total human and environmental system damage" chart on their website that appears to attempt to compare 6 different vehicle classes while equalizing their MPG. My brain hurts and it's not even noon yet.

It's funny that this came up. I was at my favorite metal supply shop looking for aluminum for a project. I overheard a couple of guys talking (couldn't help it). The subject of three D printing was discussed but also something about a prototype car that was being created. So I asked the guy about it. He showed me a pic of a roadster like the FFR one on his fone. It looked weird like it was made of something different. It turns out, he said, it was a "Cob**" replica that had been three D printed from a carbon fiber composite material. I asked him what they used for measurements. He said an FFR roadster. He didn't say what the name of the company was but it's in the PHX area near Williams Field complex. He said they were going to produce a supercar or perhaps more than one design after some time. Don't know if there is any connection with the one you found. I guess it isn't so strange that this kind of technology is attracting car builders. Thanks for the links.

That could be the best part -- notice how almost all chassis parts are in the gym bag? A chassis ship-able via UPS/FedEx?

But you'll have to fall in love with a surface that has the look and feel of hardened reclining chair upholstery.
