C****s in the Fayetteville, NC area

    All -

First time poster. Have been lurking for a while. Would like to thank all posters for sharing information and posing questions - I have been learning quite a bit. I'm interested in building an MK4 and am in the initial research phase at present. With the forums and some other reading materials, I have only begun to plumb the available resources… oceans of learning at my fingertips. What I have NOT had, however, are opportunities to see any cars. Anyone in the fayetteville area willing to meet up with me and show me what this is about? Any groups/clubs in the area? I am sure that there are other sites/forums on the web with access to cobra club information, so any direction in that area would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Zach

Zack, the Triangle Cobra (there, I said it) Club meets the first Saturday of each month in Raleigh. We meet at Hardees on Creedmoor Road (NC50 North) at 0830, about a mile north of Crabtree Mall. Participation varies depending on weather, etc, but usually 5-15 cars are there. Most are FFR, although there a couple of other brands as well. We have no true meetings, just kick a few tires in the parking lot, then go inside for coffee and something to eat. We have about 50 car owners on the mailing list and I'm sure any would be happy to answer your questions. The weather is looking good for Saturday, so I hope you can join us. I'm not aware of any groups/clubs in the Fayetteville area, although I'm sure there some cars there.

Maybe I need to clarify. The June get together is scheduled for June 6 (first Saturday), NOT this coming Saturday. Too many Saturdays in May. Sorry if I confused anyone.

You said "first Saturday of the month" - pretty clear to me!
I will talk to the wife about it. We have two kids in diapers right now, so time away from the house is at a premium... If not the 6th. will be certain to make it one of these months. Thank you again for the info.

Had 13 or 14 cars at the Club meeting this morning. Nice weather is bringing them out including some new ones.
