    Wisconsin Registration Requirements

    Hi guys,

I'm looking at building a MK4 in Wisconsin, but I can't figure out all of their registration information. So far I've found this:

    Windshield wipers required
    Exhaust heat shield required
    No catylitic converter required
    Bumpers required?

If anyone has registered a roadster in Wisconsin, can you confirm your experience with what I've found? Is this correct?

Thanks, and I'm pretty close to ordering! I'm excited!

Still building mine and hope to register as a hobby car this spring. Found info in the DOT guidelines Trans 305.065 -305.35 . Believe you need a defroster also. Hope this helps and good luck. I am in the Hayward area if you want to stop and take a look at one in person.

Hi Steve, I believe there is a defroster exception for cars without a roof meaning that the roadster does not need a defroster. I took a look at the regs, but I was unsure if I caught everything. I'd love to come take a look, but I'm pretty far away.

I would start here: http://www.bipac.net/page.asp?conten...olbox&g=SEMAGA and then go to your States Motor Vehicle web site and research the requirements.
