First ever FFF post and a (Ron Francis Harness) wiring tip

I would like to say thanks to all those on this site that have helped me along and never knew it. I browsed here before and after getting my Roadster kit and was ready for many of the problems that cropped up.
Today I get to finally add a bit I learned today while wiring my roadster. After carefully reading the instructions I made all of my connections and was ready to try it out. When I hooked up the battery I heard a relay click, this was the first indication of a problem. I noticed a dim glow from the left turn indicator light also. After a quick check I found it was the horn relay that was clicking immediately upon hooking up the battery. Long story short after much head scratching, switch checking and doubting myself I found that one the plugs that connects the fuse box to the dash harness was assembled improperly and the power meant for the horn switch was going to the left turn wiring. I pulled two wires from the connector and reinserted them into the correct slots. After plugging it all back it works like a charm.
I like the Ron Francis harness and this is in no way a slam on their product. The wires are clearly marked and the diagrams in the manual are very detailed. They are detailed and clear enough for an amateur like myself to do some troubleshooting.
There is nearly always someone here that has useful information for builders. Keep posting I am trying to learn all I can.

Nice job on correcting your problem. The only way to learn is to dig in and do as much trouble shooting as you can. Yes the wiring diagrams are very good and clear. At times I wish I had a larger copy to look as the lines get small and fuzzy after looking at it for hours. Keep going forward on your project.

Wiring scares the hell out of me! I am going for the complete kit and I just hope the diagram is easy to follow!

It's as close to "plug & play" as you'll find.

Dido on the plug and play. The instructions from Ron Francis and FFR are complete and easy to follow. They just missed out the section about installing the speed dial switch. That install was easy too.
I'm waiting for my 1st car to come back from paint and wishing I had another to build this winter.
