Rear Brake caliper rubbing on rotor
I just finished installing the rear brake calipers on my FF Moser rear end and axles. When I tightened the bolts on the caliper, the outer caliper actually pressed up against the outer part of the rotor - there was about 1/4 inch clearance on the inside caliper to rotor, and none on the outer. This happened on both the driver and passenger side of the axle. I am talking a very tight pressure - i could not turn the wheels over at all. Has anyone else seen this phenomenon? Would it make sense to just add a spacer to center the caliper on the rotor? Is it possible that the axles were not re-installed correctly after removing them to mount the brake brackets? Don't see how that could be true. All of the parts are FF purchased, so surprised that this is the case. I would have expected them to fit pretty true. Maybe something installed wrong, but went over it several times and I am pretty sure it is built as designed. Any thoughts?
