How 2001 Mustang Cobra Donor Ignition and Key are installed in MK IV?

I am still confused as to how I install the ignition from the donor 2001 Mustang Cobra including the way the key mounts in the MK IV dash. I know that the complete kit includes a wire harness and ignition key. I want the finished product to look like the complete kit install. I have attached an illustration that shows what I believe needs to be done in broad terms. The question is how?
