New Type-65 Daytona Coupe build in Jacksonville Florida.

Hey all just received my Car last Friday.

I already got most of the front end done.

I think I have hit a snag. (don't know how big of one yet) but when I ordered my kit I put that I wanted the black Brembo brakes upgrade. I had several conversations around my interest in using vintage 15" Halderbrand wheels from vintagewheelsus.com. I got the wheels back from the tire place today. And I was so excited that I would be able to mount the brake kit tonight and have a first look at how the wheels would look this weekend. When I was comparing the rotor size to the front wheel There's only an inch or two clearance. So I don't think they will work. Am I right in thinking that I will have to come up with a different brake solution? I did the Complete Kit so I have the FF spindles.

One tip I have for doing the torque on the upper and lower spindle is to get yourself an offset wrench set.

Congratulations on your coupe delivery! Since I didn't even know there was a Brembo upgrade I can't help you on fitment but I know there is a max diameter when using the smaller wheels. Welcome to the club.

Welcome to the forum. Do you mean the Wilwood upgrade?

Correct Wilwood upgrade. I'll find out what happens with those brakes over the next several days. In reading the forums I came across Gordon Levy and it seems he has a combo that will work.
