Treadstone MAPHL4 doesn't fit Coyote FFR parts - help?!

    Hey Y'all,
Coyote Gen 3 build here. Bought the Treadstone part #MAPHL4 like the FFR Coyote install manual requires. However, the Treadstone tube is too big in diameter- in fact big enough to fit on the outside of the 90 degree Ford intake tube. No response from FFR yet and treadstone doesn't have any ideas on this. Has anyone else experienced this? Still wondering if Treadstone sent the wrong part but they claim no.
    Any ideas?

Looks like they provided the 4" pipe as the part number suggests. And also as listed in the FF Gen 3 instructions. I installed my Gen 3 Coyote into a Gen 3 Coupe before the FF instructions were available and any parts were available from them. Like that particular right angle adapter. Didn't know any better, so used a Treadstone MAPHL35 MAF Mass Air Flow Adapter Pipe 3.5" on mine. That plus a Treadstone S35090BLK 90 Degree 3.50" Silicone Hose Couplers. Found out later that the Gen 3 Coyote does use a 4" pipe. But the custom tune from Lund calibrated to the parts I used and it runs great. They assured me with a stock setup like mine, the 3.5" intake was not an issue and not limiting anything. You'll need a custom tune no matter what. Assume you know that.

Did you get the Coyote install kit option with your F5 order? I think it has all of the parts with it.

EdwardB - thank you, that helps a lot. I guess I'll have to exchange for the correct treadstone part. It's still perplexing to me when parts from FFR don't match the manual or what's needed, but I guess that's the world of kit car building! And yes, that is a good reminder about the custom tune needed. I need to locate a suitable shop near Austin TX to do that...

The parts I received may be mis-matched from those in the manual for Coyote gen 3 install. FFR manual says to get the Treadstone 4" MAF pipe, but the Coyote gen 3 throttle body, 90 degree rubber hose and air filters provided are all 3.5" pieces.... Not sure how they got this wrong, but I'm just going to order a 3.5" treadstone MAF tube to remedy the problem....
