    Register Roadster in Texas

I am nearing completion of my MK4 and I have a question I need help with. The TEXAS ASSEMBLED AND REBUILT VEHICLE MANUAL says I have to have a pencil tracing of the engine number or a physical inspection and cerification that the number is what I say it is.

My problem is that my engine is a 1996 4.6 DOHC Mustang Cobra engine that I took out of a car I owned (I have the car title)......and the motor number is unreadable.....just a very small and faint series of dots that no one can read.

How have other owners of 4.6 engines in Texas gotten around this?

Just take a picture of it. Tracing, picture or the law enforcement inspection are all acceptable. I used a picture.
