    Boost controller/Vacuum lines

    Hey guys,

My donor came with a "hybrid" boost controller set up (manual BCS and an EBCS together, like this). I've been advised to go with just an EBCS by my tuner.

I'm trying to install my Grimmspeed EBCS, and am confused on where the ports go compared to the various diagrams out there. This is what I have:

And I followed this diagram: http://www.grimmspeed.com/content/in...ne_version.pdf

Port 3 (left hose in the photo) goes to my turbo, port 2 goes to my wastegate, and port 1 will route back to my intake.

I also have a line going to the intake that goes into the manifold. Blue line that says "Racing" on it in the picture of my car up there. It's attached to a little pressure sensor...thing. I'm not sure what its function is and I was told to delete it.

Any suggestions or threads (I did search...to no avail) regarding this stuff?

Here is a good thread for identifying which hoses go where:

If I had to guess I'd say the blue line might be for either the purge control solenoid or the stock PCV system.

Hooking up the Grimmspeed EBCS is not hard. The "little pressure sensor...thing" is very hard, since we haven't a clue what you are talking about. A picture is worth a thousand thingies.

You're right, Scargo! My apologies; I wasn't able to get to the car between taking that photo and writing this.

This little "thingie" is what I'm looking for. I know I've seen a picture on here depicting how to rout around it, too....

Since I opened my big yapper... It's a (one-way) vacuum check valve that is called a purge valve and is part of the emissions system. I believe it's primary function is to deal with gas tank fumes.
Looking at the STiPWRD link, when he gets to that (hose R,S,O) he calls it the "Rat's Nest". Cute name.
LOL, I've been so far past that for so long I can't remember...
    Start plugging holes.
