Great stuff as usual!
Are you able to detect the selected gear on a Porsche g87 gearbox (Cayman S)/shifter? I'm assuming the selected gear is detected by switches on the shifter itself?
I'll disclose that Tino is building me a dash for my Lotus Esprit.

Yes, from the shifter or external linkage.

I find it easier on the G96 to use the linkage if you don't mind running a bit of wire.

I hope you're all having a great Summer, and getting more work done than me on your build!
I've managed to squeeze out some 3D printed steering wheel buttons/paddles. It's not a bad look,
but we'll see how it feels after installation. I'm not opposed to replacing the entire steering wheel
with integrated buttons (maybe an OEM wheel?).

The puller should arrive tomorrow, and with any luck it will pop off with ease. Does anyone have a column with the original
clock spring? I'd like to see how it assembles before purchasing one. The hub on my column doesn't look anything like
the photos I've seen online.
The spindle length also seems shorter?

Back at the console welding, so the interior is out again. The shifter and entire assembly has been lowered to allow for a larger touch screen
to be installed in place of a 2DIN stereo. I'm thinking to weld bar stock (yellow) to secure the mid-section. I'm thinking it will be sturdy enough.

The steering hub was removed, and I managed to modify a Toyota brand, clock spring to run a harness for the steering wheel buttons. No more turn
stocks for signals, or wipers. It will all be controlled with buttons, and the touchscreen. If anyone needs the parts for their build, let me know!
