Hi Folks - I was thinking of going to my local auto wrecker to see if I can pull some seat sliders for my standard roadster bucket seats. Just curious if anyone else has already done this, or if anyone knows what make / model of car has seat sliders that are compatible. I can also fabricate a mounting plate or frame to mate the two, if needed. Won't be racing or tracking the car... street use only.

I bought the Sparco sliders. Summit has them for about $70 each. It's a good piece and may be less work than hunting down a suitable donor.

Thought about that, but my auto wrecker lists them for $15 per seat, from any vehicle. Every dollar I save goes into the speeding ticket piggy bank.Quote:

I found some sliding rails at the auto-wrecker. But by the time I removed the mechanism and modified and looked at the latching bar, I realized that my seat would end-up being too high. So, I bought a basic seat slider kit from NRG. https://getnrg.com/products/sbr-001
Took a while to figure out the bolt placement to avoid the 4" chassis tube. I placed a flat steel bar along the back to manage that. I also placed a 3/4" steel tube under the front to angle the seat up a bit for extra leg support. Had to make sure the seat could be installed and removed by just sliding the seat front and back, too. I'm happy with the end result.
I modified the seat tracks from a 79-93 Mustang.
