Window Frame - Gap

On the Driver’s Side the Frame will not align up flush with the window. Since the frame is not flush I’m not able to screw in the top screw of the frame or close the gap.

Even holding the driver side window mount without any screws not able to get the frame to be flush with mount.

Side note - Thread your frame holes, way easier to line up window angle

The top bend is quite often a problem. The good thing is that it is made of pretty soft brass or bronze alloy so it is easy to bend. I'd bend it to fit the w/s frame curve better and then see how the hole lines up. Yes you can slide the brass threaded insert up or down in the frame. The worst part of all this is that it is a soft insert which means you only get a few tries at installing the screws before the threads strip out. I don't remember who but one of the well known suppliers offers a replacement piece made from steel.

How do you slide the Brass insert up and down within the frame?

Disassemble the bottom corners of the frame. That will get you access to the channel in the sides in which the brass insert rides.

Whitby makes stainless steel inserts for when you strip the brass. ;)

+1 on the Whitby SS inserts.
for my top screws, I had a really hard time getting things lined up. I ended up cutting the head off of a screw, making essentially a stud that is threaded into the insert. The arm is then fit over the stud and secured using a SS acorn nut. The stud helped me get the other screws lined up and the acorn nut doesn't look too terribly out of place.
