Hello all,
I hope everyone is well.
The manual says "Install the windshield at the correct angle". However, it doesn't say what that angle is.
Please let me know what angle you used and how you set it.
Thanks,
Jeff

I'm sure Mr Keiner has the exact angle but at Build School they recommended a handy prop tool you can make to hold it there while you mark the mounting holes. Sorry, my phone wouldn't take the whole thing so took a picture of each end. It is 34 1/2 inches from slot to slot. One end rests on the body at the top of the back cockpit and the other on the center of the top of the windshield.

For me the correct angle is when the mounting holes are "mostly" centered on the legs and the rubber seal is making good contact with the cowl without pushing down hard no the top of the frame...da Bat
Like ILPB, I made a cheater stick out of a 2X4.
I was at 34.25" from the center of the windshield to the center of the rear of the cockpit.
Measurements for each side were 28.0" from the upper front of the windshield bracket to the upper corner of the rear door opening on the body.
This what it looked like before I took the car apart for body and paintwork:

Please make sure that you don't stress the windshield when you bolt it down because you'll like crack the glass.
This means you will likely need to do a little shimming so be patient.
Hope this helps!
if your running a soft top the angle is 53° from the windshield post to the top of door.
Otherwise you can set the angle to whatever you would like as long as you can still mark and drill some holes with some meat still there for the bolts to thru and grab onto. Angle it up if you are taller or down if your looking for a more sleeker look.
I agree that the only time the windshield placement is critical is if you are using a top. For the premium top that FFR sells from Rod Tops, they specify a specific placement in terms of a measurement from the corner of the windshield frame to the corner of the door.
27” from the back of the door opening to the center of the top windshield screw.
I don't know what the angle is but here's what I do, + or - a fuzz.

Sorry for the hijack
If Mr east Jeff is still around would you please provide the green color.
That looks close to the green I want Mr west Jeff to paint when I am ready.
Thank you.
I agree w/ the 27 inch measurement but, if you are working by yourself, it's a real pain to do. I find the stick in the center much easier to work with.
