Front End Alignment Help
Does anyone know of a good shop that can/will do a front end alignment on a Mark III Roadster in the St. Louis, Missouri area? I've been calling around with little success. I was directed to a place in Fenton, MO, and unfortunately that shop gave me the run around saying they would work on the car and then changed their mind when I showed up. Any help would be great as my build is complete and I want to start driving it! Thanks.

I hope you find a good shop. I have concerns about finding someone trustworthy when I finish. I am seriously considering buying whatever tools I need and doing it myself vs spending the money at an alignment shop. I figure if I can build the entire car hopefully I can do a decent job aligning it as well with the proper equipment. Have you considered doing it yourself?
Congrats on completing your build. Please post some pics!

I have bought the SPC Alignment FasTrax Caster Gauge and spent a day and got it aligned before the body was on. Since then, I have had to change my lower control arms, which means I will start over (with the body on). I've decided to have it done professionally and then use the SPC to make the subtle adjustments if I want some changes.
Thus trying to find a good shop that will set it up initially.

As far as our cars are from the norm, and as aggravating as it is to make the adjustments at the UCAs, I recommend you keep doing it yourself. You already have the tools. What you may lack in accuracy, compared to a high end machine, will easily be made up for by your 'I give a sh-t because it's my car' attitude and willingness to spend however long it takes.

Where are you located? There is a good shop in Wentzville, Harris Automotive, they did mine, same price as any car. I know there are plenty others. Post over on the other forum, more Gateway people check in there.
