- Mid-life crisis decided I wanted something interesting. Instead of purchasing the parts and building this (as it probably would have sat in my garage for 10 years) I purchased one someone else built. My Roadster only had 4 miles on it. After driving her home (50 miles) she was leaking coolant and oil really bad. None of my jacks would get under her so I had to send it out to my neighbors dealership to be put on a lift and that's where we realized this car was not safe. I really need to start with the brake system. It has drum brakes on the back! A complete upgrade is the only way to go for safety. Problem is I do not know where to start. My family had a collision repair business as I grew up so I'm familiar with tools and basics but chose a different path for a career. I desperately need help as I'm probably going to completely go through this entire car to satisfy my OCD problem. It would be easier to take it somewhere but I need to know what makes this car tick. Things are wired oddly, put together oddly, and it basically looks like something someone would have built without understanding what they was getting into.
