About CTHiker52
- Biography:
- I am looking for a car to fix/build when I retire in a year or two. Years ago I had a ’65 Corvette roadster. I loved it and kick myself for selling it. I would look at getting another one but they are priced out of my range. I then thought about a ‘68-’69 Vette. They are beautiful but they are fairly common so I was looking for something more unique. I then got interested in finding a Lotus Elise because they handle well, they are great looking, and unique, not a dime a dozen. Unfortunately when I found one I found I didn’t fit (seat was too narrow). I suppose I could have wiggled around and fit but I am getting the car to drive not to be a garage/trailer queen. I asked myself could I drive this thing for 3 hours and sadly the answer was no. I then started thinking about a Cobra roadster but again not as unique as I would like. When I saw a picture of the FFF Daytona Coupe I thought that’s it. It is beautiful, quick, unique, nostalgic, and the originals have great history behind them. So the only thing that remains is can I fit into it. I figure if I am building it from the ground up I might be able to make the necessary “adjustments”. Therefore, by joining the forum I can get smart on the Daytona.
