Hello Factory Five Family,
I purchased this mostly completed mk3 Roadster fall of 2022 and it has been fun to drive around but not much in the way of forward progress. I previously built an 818 to completion and picked this car because it was mostly complete but had room for my fingerprints to steer the final pieces of the project. That was intended to make it achievable with the limited time I have available. While it didn't work out that way, it has still been a fun vehicle to own and drive with my son.

Looking to sell because I don't see myself investing the time to wrap this up. Hoping there is someone out there looking for a mostly complete project that still wants the opportunity to make it their own. Located near Leesburg, VA. Open to anyone who wants to check it out in person or test drive.

Contact: Message me or post here and I'll message you. We can exchange contact information at that point.

SOLD.

Hi all, selling our new MKV complete kit purchased in December '25. IRS and powder coat. We bought this kit to use as a rolling chassis for our prototype coupe, but we have not started work on it.

We are too caught up in our MKIV-based build to come up for air. You may be familiar with the 3D-printed coupe body on FB (https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1GkHHmCcgQ/). The project has now taken on a life of its own and there is simply no time for anything else. Would sell the MKIV running chassis (302/T5/4 link) and build this MKV out, but the MKIV chassis has modifications that may not appeal to buyers like moving steering column, etc. (if it does however, please contact me and maybe we can work out an alternative deal).

Anyway, no stories here. We got a great deal at a touch under $26k OTD. Closest offer to that will get the complete MKV kit (no ridiculous offers please).

We are located in Miami near UM.

There are cars that sit in garages, and then there are cars that live.

This is the "Half-Million Mile Cobra," the legendary Factory Five Mark 1 owned by my dad, Ralph Button—known to the Factory Five community across the country as "The Traveler." This isn't just a machine; it is a witness to hundreds of thousands of miles of open road, a dozen different horizons, and a lifetime of my dad's passion.

A Masterpiece of Dedication

Meticulously cared for and constantly refined, this Cobra is as striking as it is storied.

The Look: Wrapped in a breathtaking Brandywine color-shifting paint with crisp Oyster White stripes.
The Power: A 347 stroker motor (new block/build just 4 years ago) paired with a single Holley carb and a smooth Borg Warner T5 transmission.
The Sound: A signature growl delivered by a Gas-n performance exhaust system.
The Build: Featuring carbon fiber doors and trunk lid on a Factory Five tubular chassis, sitting on 17-inch performance rubber.

A Piece of History

With a rare 4-digit VIN, this car has been licensed in six states—Maine, New York, Pennsylvania, Arkansas, North Carolina, and Texas—carrying my dad through every turn of his long journey.

Why We Are Parting Ways

For my dad, this Cobra was more than a hobby; it was an idea that took root in his mind and became his greatest adventure. Sadly, he has been diagnosed with dementia and can no longer get behind the wheel. Our family is now seeking a new caretaker—someone who doesn't just want a fast car, but someone who understands the soul of a vehicle that has seen the world.

Asking Price: $44,000.00

Help us honor my dad’s legacy. Come see a piece of Factory Five history and take the keys to a legend.
