I just purchased a 2010 Cobra MK3 and I love the car but I have ear problems and the factory pipes cause my ears to ring even louder. Does anyone know if an aftermarket pipe or insert of some type is available to quite the car down some?

I agree with TopGear. Wear earplugs. I do. You'll still be able to hear the car and enjoy the sounds of the motor, but at least you'll save your hearing.

I have Breeze quiet pipes. Quietest pipes I've heard on any roadster.
Costcos with hearing centers will make custom fitted ear plugs. cost is very reasonable.
Hey Top Gear, I'm running a 351 bored to 392, A Holley 750DP and Hooker 4 into 4 headers. Compared with roadsters with cats mine was much louder. The neighbors began to complain and on long trips our ears were ringing. The car felt like it pulsated with each power stroke. Breeze Automotive Quiet Pipes is the answer. They are great! They still have a low deep throaty sound without the bark. The vibrations from the power pulsations / exhaust bark is gone. Mark Reynols at Breeze Automtive makes it an easy process to get the side pipes to you. It’s a much nicer ride and worth the price. Craig
+1 for the Breeze quiet pipes. I've got a Levy 408 and you can actually have a conversation with your passenger when driving through town. They still sound good when you're under hard acceleration.

I've done the ear plug thing with loud Kooks pipes and I've done the Breeze quiet pipes with no ear plugs. The Breeze pipes are on my car 90% of the time but loud is sooooo nice now and again. I install the loud Kooks pipes (spiral auger type) when I go to historic track events at LimeRock as a spectator but the Breeze pipes are for cruising. If you like to drive, get the Breeze pipes. If you like to show and don't drive often, get the ear plugs and loud pipes. If you can afford, have both on hand. It only takes a half hour to swap the night before. Keep a tube of copper RTV on hand and no gaskets needed at the header to side pipe exit. The loud pipes sound awesome but it will get old quick if you drive often. I use the copper RTV and snug the side pipes down relatively tight but hold them in position (level) with props. The next morning, I crank them down tight and good to go. Been doing this for the past ten years as I still like a dose of loud. And just BTW, I still sit in the garage after ten years in amazement that I have this car in my stable.
The constant annoying wind sound is what gets to me!!!! After about 1 hr it can make my ears ring....pipes are not an issue at cursing speed 70mph 1,900RPM.
I just started using Bose QC15 headphones. You might need a hoodie to keep the cops off your tail. Darren
I use catalytic converters, Gas-n Performance SS Side pipes and the yellow, flanged ear plugs from CVS. I am perfectly comfortable at all cruising speeds and can hear traffic warnings. I have an MK3 Roadster with a 4.6L Mustang V-8.

I DIDN'T WANT LOUD EITHER AND DIDN'T WANT TO BUY ANOTHER SET OF PIPES. I CUT MINE JUST AFTER THE COLLECTOR AND INSTALLED A 3 RING BAFFLE AND A CONE BAFFLE IN THE OUTLET. THIS WAS MUCH CHEAPER THAN SENDING THEM OUT. WITH THE SAME RESULTS. SUMMIT AND JEGS CARRY THE PARTS.
