Mk4 5.0 Coyote in Texas

I received my Mk 4 Cobra kit on May 16 2018. The engine will be a Coyote 5.0 salvaged from a 2016 Mustang GT. I decided to use the Getrag 6 speed manual and bell housing. Heck yes, it was just sitting there ready to go. I was unsure if this would work because I was told it was impossible due to the very aft location of the shift box. Before the kit arrived I had plenty of time to work on some ideas to move the shift box forward. I considered two gears meshing or Hiem joints to provide the rotation of the shift shaft. Gears, reversed the shift action, so that was rejected. Hiem joints proved too bulky for the space available. A compact #30 chain proved to be the perfect solution. The chain was compact, zero play, readily available and strong. Two shift forks, would provide the forward and rearward movement of the shift shaft to select reverse, first and second, third and forth and so forth. After several iterations of the concept, success, the the shift box is mounted above the tail shaft of the transmission putting the shift knob exactly where it should be. Shift action is zero play, low friction and direct, actually more positive and with less slop than the original Ford set up.
After 7 months of work [play] I have installed all the aluminum plates, fuel tank, engine and trans, power steering, suspension, fuel lines, brake lines, pedal box and engine control module and wiring. Next is the complete wiring harness for the lights, turn signals etc.
