I have the donor for my 818! I bought the 'oily bits' from a salvaged 2006 WRX wagon that [URL="http://thefactoryfiveforum.com/member.php?715-DrAwender"]Jeff Awender[/URL] was going to use for his 818 until he decided to build a Ferrari instead :cool::

2006 WRX's got the 2.5 liter turbo boxer with more torque and much better brakes (over 11" discs with 4 piston front and 2 piston rear fancy red calipers). It was a clean, un-modified CA car (manual tranny, of course) with fairly low miles, no corrosion underneath, that was totaled in a rear end collision.... perfect donor! Here it is just after unloading at my friend Ted's garage, where the build will happen:

My plans are to leave the mechanicals fairly stock, just clean things up a bit and perhaps add a splash of color. This will be [I]plenty[/I] in the feather-weight 818. I'll post further updates as I make progress on prepping the parts.
