Well, she's all done. Been a great build process, and I am eternally grateful to Rick Anderson, Hank Lopez, and Russ Thompson for their creative talents, as well as their extreme design and craftsmanship in the process.

Fellow Coupe builder Jacob McCrae (Pittsburgh, PA) is picking up the reins in creating the supplementatl Competition Coupe build manual. He is buiding a Coupe as well, and has been documenting his build alongside of ours. He will be using the pictures from our build, along with Hank's and his own, to create an online resource for people wanting to build a Competition Coupe for the track, or just for increased safety on the street. I will post a link to the finished manual when it's complete.

Thanks for the support and encouragement everyone!!

Karen

Looks great, Karen! You, Hank, Rick and Russ have done a spectacular job of putting together a race car. I need to get on the ball, get into the garage and get moving!

As for the Competition Coupe build manual, I have not forgotten about it and having now completed a bunch of other pressing projects, it is back at the top of my personal "to do" list. Hopefully life will cooperate and I will get a complete draft done before the end of fall.

For the benefit of new readers, and to expand on Karen's comments, the Competition Coupe build manual will be a combination of text and photos covering the frame mods, various components, why they were chosen, and other facets of building the Competition Coupes. The goal is to give racers, prospective racers and the like a single document wherein the majority of questions about building a competition-legal Coupe are addressed. We will not be giving away any state secrets, but what we will do is obviate the need for builders, particularly newcomers to this field such as myself, to re-invent the wheel or spend a massive amount of time online researching components, comparing and contrasting a litany of sources, searching for vendors, etc. All of the information is out there, it is now a matter of assembling it into one place.
