I am getting ready to install my windshield but before I jump into it, I have a question. I have noticed from looking at pictures, that many of the Coupe windshields have a large black 2" approx boarder running around the edge. This is not the rubber seal that finishes it off but appears to be under the glass and for asthetics. When I pulled mine out of the box, I noticed it did not have the boarder at all. I saw one post entry from tech that metioned it being a seal supplied by the installer. I called tech and was told the same. I went to a local installer and they looked at me like I was from Mars and said it was the sealant that holds it on and is put on with a wool brush. Not! I even showed them photos. Ok, I'm in Utah but.... I looked at a few other cars parked around my work and it appears it is a factory thing. So, can anyone tell me the definative answer? Did your windshield come from FFR that way? Thanks!!!
