So the guy who is painting my car prefers to mix his own paint, based on the color codes I give him. He has owned a chain of (four) body shops, sold the chain, and is now retired. I heard lots of good things about him, seen his work. Even Dave at F5 endorses has said good things about him. Paint guy claims, in his experience, that buying paint (on line) per a Dizler #/Dupont paint code gave him erroneous results. He prefers to mix the paint formula himself based on the paint code I give him. I have absolutely no painting experience. Should I go with his preference (just in pure respect) or should I buy the paint myself. He did say he would give me the formula (mixing details) for future reference. "All feedback is a gift". Any paints gods out there that can help me here? Thanks in advance.

I have read that some builders have had issues with burning up their ignition sys due to improper wiring. Does anyone have a wiring diagram with the RF harness nomenclatures? I.E. >>>"Purple-Coil->Tach"...."Org-EFI or Coil". Where you picked up power for the coil/distributor? Thanks so much in advance.

I am assuming I need a clockwise since it is a 3 pulley (crank, alternator, and water pump) for a later 302/5.0 engine.

I am looking to do a 351W install in my MK4 complete kit. I am going through my build right now. Starting to reach out to crate engine suppliers and finding there are several out there. Can I get some input as to good suppliers? And just as important, suppliers that I should be aware of the "fine print" or lack of product quality. I realize it's hard to speak badly of a supplier, but being forewarned, on a forum as great as this one, would be helpful. Thanks in advance for any that provides "good ones" and "watch out for" suppliers.
