Can you tell me what you have on the running boards to prevent scratching from the person who will undoubtedly step on them at one time.  I was thinking of bonding down a thin black ribbed rubber strip or even a clear 3M sheet.  I also like the side panel vents.  More info on those if you will.   Thanks</blockquote>

After a few trials, I believe I accomplished what I was hoping for.  Has anyone else done their dashboard or firewall in this pattern?  Afterwards, I gave it three coats of clear to help keep it clean.  Total cost was under $20, but a lot of labor to set up and burnish close to 750 swirls between these two pieces.<br />
