02/22/2010 I found this '90 GT on Craigslist and bought it for $850. It has some problems and is not pretty, but it runs pretty strong. Sounds like it might even have a cam in it already. The seller only had it a couple months and had it running ok. I'll know more when I tear into it. 02/23/2010 I was jonesing to get the project started and got an early start. I decided to follow advice I have read on the ffcobra.com forums and tear out the interior and start pulling the electrical first. I got about 4 hours of work done. Overall, I feel pretty good about my start. Taking apart is definitely easier than puting together. If the occasional plastic piece breaks..No big deal. I just cut the carpet out with a razor. 02/28/2010 After being away for work, I was anxious to get back into it. Its hard to estimate how much work got done today. I was at it for about 3.5 - 4 hours but progress was a lot slower today. There was a lot more pondering what to do next and not as much tearing out. I did manage noticeable progress. I got the majority of the behind the dash harness out. I pulled the EFI computer but that side of the harness is still to go. Also, while gone my kids decided to play ...
03/01/2010 Well, only got a couple hours of work in today but was fairly productive. I had done a little studying last night on how to get the heater/AC unit out of the car and got right to it. Once that was out, I had to pull some accessories off the front of the engine to pull some of the wiring. I managed to pull 2 more sub-sections of the wiring harness out. The EEC side and the part that runs up to the front lights. Total work time ...
03/08/2010 First off, let me confess that this isnt really day 4. Day 4 is an amalgom of several days where I didnt get much work done due to weather and other stuff. So this is sort of a break point where I can show some visible progress. The first order of business was a little clean up. As you can see from picture 1, I was accumulating quite a pile of junk in my garage. Had to start getting rid of that. The city dump wanted $30 to dump car parts. Household dumping ...
