I have been an infrequent visitor here as I have begun the path to a new occupation, thus reading, studies, classes, research, papers, and exams now have been consuming all my spare time. Combined with my current work my wife has been exceeding patient as I go from studies, to work and back to studies.. oh and just occasionally some sleep! Hi all. Installed a Moser 8.8" solid axle rear end and Koni coil over shocks, there are a few pictures below. All went well except for one small problem (and it was just me). I initially installed the rear end under the panhard mount brace instead of over it. I didn't realize it had to go over until I tried to install the Koni coil over shocks and they wouldn't reach the lower shock mounts on the rear end. It only took about 5 minutes to disconnect the upper link and lower control arms ...

I picked up the new heads on Saturday morning and had a nice chat with the owner of a Subaru recycling yard that's only about half an hour from my garage. Got back to the shop, had enough time to putz around a little bit, then had a family lunch (Happy 70th mom!). Given the shortened afternoon, I didn't get much accomplished Saturday - just the oil baffle, pickup tube, and pan on, then the new oil pump. Also the oil cooler. I guess this is par for the course, but I was frustrated ...
