Today my kit arrived! I was sweating the schedule a bit on my kit delivery. My kit was scheduled to be completed on 9/3/11, with Stewart Transport picking up at FFR somewhere between the 6th and 9th. Unfortunately I had to go on travel for work the 12th – 15th, so that would put me in the red and the car possibly arriving while I was gone. I did NOT want to miss my delivery day! All, I'm eagerly anticipating the arrival of my base kit and saw the neat plywood support frame for the body at the build school. Does anyone have the specs of the frame so I can knock one up from home depot before the kit arrives?

I am still waiting for my kit to arrive and getting the pre game stuff figured out.
I have some cool jack stands coming from backyardbuddy.com some where I found a thread about stands and someone suggested theirs. Although pricey I will be able to move my car around my garage freely which will be nice, I have a small garage.
My current problem is understanding what I need to make a 80's Foxbody Rearend work with the factory five mk4.
I know I am going to need 5 lug axels and ...

I'm going to keep a record of work done each day, costs, issues, etc. for those wanting to compare build expenses and learn about the experience in general. Maybe someone will be able to point out some errors by reading my progress, so it's a two-way street.

Just joined the forum and IMHO I am VERY IMPRESSED with the people, vendors and staff of this site and FFR. Have been following the company for awhile and hope to join this Family one day soon. My Wife and I would like to look at a Roadster and Coupe kit in the Tampa Bay area !! I will build these myself except for paint (spraying the color) :cool: I work nights so will have to see them on day off (work 6 days week) any info is appreciated thanks !!! :)
