  1. Preparing parts before kit arrives

    Finally getting closer to the day when I'll get my kit.
    In the meantime I was working on parts that are not included in the base kit. Bought some new and some used parts from different websites, local sellers and FFR forum members. After I got the parts, my buddy agreed to help me to clean these parts and get it ready to powder coat. Sandblasting got the job done nicely. Here is picture after sandblasting

  2. Roadster build is progressing

    Hi all,

    Haven't posted in awhile, about 2 months, just getting around to an update. Since last post, have prepped and installed the motor (Tuff Dawg Ford 347 stroker), Ramforce HD clutch, MCleod universal steel bell housing, TKO 600 tranny, FFR driveshaft, headers, Holley mechanical fuel pump, Quickfuel 680 cfm four barrel carburetor, MSD electronic distributer/ignition system and spark plug wires, CNC aluminum triple hydraulic/brake fluid reservoirs, RAM internal hydraulic clutch ...

  3. T5 Update

    What a saga!

    Ok, Im almost back to square one (minus a few bucks)...but now I know exactly what I need and want.

    Summary so far:

    Took back the v6 and got pick-a-part credit...would have prefered cash, but oh well..there are things I still need so it will get used.

    Purchased NWC rebuild kit and preceeded to rebuild the nwc out of the mustang...and then things started going strange....

  4. What happened to back ordered Parts!

    Back in the day ... we could at least plan on parts back ordered, usually a long list of misc parts, we could, some of us, patiently wait for. Arriving home we would round the corner, see well up the street, at the front door of OUR house, boxes piled up with FFR lettered on them. Just a little quicker we drive down the street and like kids at Christmas open the boxes to see what might have come in this delivery. You never knew what day they would arrive, you just waited. Fast forward to now... ...

  5. Front brakes installed.

    Finally the front suspension and brakes are done. I think might be re-greasing them.

    After playing with different spacers and torque settings finally got all the castle nuts to line up so they would accept cotter pins.

    After that got done I torqued the wheel hubs on used 230 ft lbs of torque the book said 225-250 so I went with 230. The hubs spin pretty freely but not as much as they did before they were torqued I hope that was right. A few friends were questioning ...
