2. 818 donor

I have the donor for my 818! I bought the 'oily bits' from a salvaged 2006 WRX wagon that Jeff Awender was going to use for his 818 until he decided to build a Ferrari instead :

2006 WRX's got the 2.5 liter turbo boxer with more torque and much better brakes (over 11" discs with 4 piston front and 2 piston rear fancy red calipers). It was a clean, un-modified ...

  4. 02 thru 07 Impreza ---What to choose?
Find a clean one for a good price
Ha.. easier said than done, lots of options, time is on my side (my projected ship date is march 2014) so it may be best to wait till testing is completed on the built units at FFR. seems so far the majority is leaning towards the 2 litre turbo. how is an 1800# car gonna handle all that horsepower without loosing traction anyways? especially being 2 wheel drive, just wondering if it would be a waste of money ...

  5. Ported WRX Throttle Body Final Assembly

After changing oil and transmission fluid on my daily driver I still had a little energy left and decided to assemble my new ported throttle body.

I had previously sent the throttle body out to Grimmspeed to have it coated and ported. It came back dissasembled, cleaned and looking sharp. The charge for the service was $130 and seems very reasonable.

My first stop was to Ace to get replacement hardware in stainless to replace all the soft sensor screws and the ...
