Once we got the kit unloaded, took lots of pictures and marked the panels. Put the body on the body buck. Noticed the mold release, nasty. Then got it settled in the garage.

Now that the donor has been disassembled, its time pick up the kit. I have to say Factory Five was very good with my order and allowed me to delay it awhile. Placed order on 9/2/08 and picked it up on 6/20/09. I was also able to mix and match items during one of their sales to get the parts I needed and avoid the ones I didn't need. I have to say there is not better way to understand a car than to tear it apart. You get a perspective of how things go together. The good news is that this donor was registered in Tx, so it was a snow free car and was in excellent condition considering. Most items were very clean. I have always been into cars. My Dad always had old cars around. He had a 1929 Model A Ford fully restored, a couple of Metropolitans and a 64 Ford Galaxie XL convertible.
