We used the Por-15, 3-step metal preparation and paint system. Step 1 & 2...Wash and Prep with Marine Clean and Prep & Ready (etching) Step 3: Cover with Por-15
Looks great, Karen. This was brushed on?
Looks great Karen? As Jim asked; brushed or sprayed? How many coats?
One coat...Brushed.....Pretty cool stuff. ;.) The one thing I will add (and others can confirm), is that this stuff is Permanent. I should've heeded the words on the front of the can, "We know what PERMANENT means!"...No Kidding! I wore cloth gloves, and after awhile, the paint bled through in a few spots....Well, let's just say getting a tattoo removed might be easier. ;.0 I used paint thinner, polish remover, gasoline, all to no avail.....I scrubbed with every cleaner and solvent you can imagine. I went to the nail place after work yesterday (the people I work with were giving me weird looks), and I asked them to use the dremel tool to sand some of it off (Hey, who needs fingerprints)....Most of it is gone, but I'm thinking the remnants will still be there when I see you guys at Huntington Beach! Yikes!
That first photo reminds me of my garage - a bare Coupe frame, a Super Duty truck and a bunch of road bikes in the background!
Karen, Por-15 sticks to everything (even fingers) forever.
