We had another productive day yesterday. Finished the final engine wiring connections, finished the temporary gauge panel, tested the circuits, filled the engine with oil and primed it, hooked up the battery and spun it over with the starter! It's showing signs of life. Now to put coolant in it and see if it leaks, add fuel and start it up.

We did find that the Odyssey battery only had a charge of 11.6 volts (about 25% according to the owner's manual) and it did not want to take a charge from my BatteryMinder smart charger. We left the charger on it in "float" mode and the battery instructions say it could take as long as 72 hours for the battery to fully charge. In float mode the charger was putting out 13.3V so maybe it will still be charging. Hmmmmmm.

We also rolled some stiffening beads in the trunk floor using my handy dandy Harbor Freight bead roller and we installed the turn signal and tilt levers and the E-flasher button in the sterring column. Finished up about 11pm last night.

Thanks Al Bridges
