Rate this Entry
This morning I decided to tackled nice little project- install firewall with Summit racing heater.

This little guy pushes 28,000 BTU, which high for it's size. FFR guys are happy who installed in so I decided to get it, because it's much easier install it right now, than when firewall is riveted in.
So, I made a template on regular paper, then transferred to cardboard and then to firewall while it's attached to the frame with clekos, just to make sure it will fit.

After playing with sheet metal tools for little bit I was able to all opening for the heater. I had to take my time and pay more attention to details little bit more than I did when I worked for HVAC company:) I knew I couldn't take another firewall if I make a mistake on the first one.
I was happy when at the end, when I saw that everything lined up correctly.
