Well this past weekend was the NASA NW Inaugural Race at Pacific Raceways and thus the start of the NASA NW race series. I was the only one running in FFR class as Steve did not come up from Portland to play. I had a blast as we had two 25min races each day with 20 min rest in between (time to refuel and defuel). I had only minor issues with car, but had major oil leak, turned out to be PCV grommet/valve/screen came out out and thus spewing oil all over the car. I think I also cracked a header it seems as I have a exhaust leak and sounds like crap.

Went to put car in trailer and got the dreaded solenoid click, not sure if its the starter or solenoid (as I have lots of battery power) as we push started it to get in trailer and have not looked at it yet.

NASA was very well organized and was dynamic with changes when needed. All went smooth for a 1st event, this was top notch. Hats off to Andy, Karen and the rest of the NASA staff as they did an excellent job working out the details and keeping things moving w/o issue (that I'm aware of). The only down side was Karen was driving a Corvette of all things, that was sad to see!

Great for you guys! At our MW event at Autobahn a few weeks ago we had a few of your regions head guys ( can't remember names or titles) following us around and observing us. They seemed to be pretty relaxed, motivated and willing to learn. You folks should be in good hands. Get used to being on time!

Good luck on the electrical gremlins; hope the oil mess didn't contribute.

Tony...just so you're aware Karen has raced Corvettes at least back into the mid 90's, posting many local and regional championships before switching to Cobras in mid 2000's. Her late husband Andy was a Corvette racer in the mid 60's SoCal scene and his '59 vette (I think it's a '59) sits in the Riverside Raceway museum. It's quite an amazing story. I believe this is Karen's 8th Corvette (she only has 4 Cobras)! No surprise she would drive it from SoCal to Washington, just to help fellow racers start a new club!

No video, GoPro camera was not working or there is operator error, so all I have are still shots various folks took.

I figured something like that, as Karen seemed pretty comfortable on the track with the Corvette. Thanks for the background.
