Since the 818 doesn't seem to have the need for a rear sway bar, it doesn't need lateral link mounts. I picked up a second set of the aluminum links without the mounts. They should be a lot stiffer and lighter than the steel ones. Where's Rasmus when you need him for weights!

I also ordered a set of turn in concepts enthusiast bushings to replace the worn out rubbers.

just started cleaning up the links with some 400 grit paper and it came out pretty nice

Where did you guys get these?

One set came on the car, (2005) I picked up the other pair on ebay for $50

If buying used make sure they aren't bent. a hard slide into a curb will buckle these.

The bushings and inserts metalmaker is talking about can be found in the link I posted.

I think they are about $75 each from Subaru, so if you don't plan on keeping the bushings, I wouldn't get them new

I went with aftermarket adjustable links and sold my aluminum ones on ebay for $50 plus shipping...

I did the same thing and have two sets of aluminum links with the TIC bushings.

I'm glad my idea isn't too far fetched. Mechie did you go race or enthusiast? did you order the trailing arm bushings too? My next step is cleaning those up. They didn't offer the super sexy pack in enthusiast but when I called they gave me a few bucks off both sets.

Uhh....I don't know.

Whatever they came out with first. I got a discount (maybe they were free? I can't remember, it's been 2.5 years) on them and was one of the first couple of people to get them before they did their product launch group buy so that I could install them and write a review. Maybe they only had the race ones back then?

Didn't do the trailing arm bushings. I have stock trailing arms with a spherical bearing pressed into the front instead of a bushing.

^how do you like that spherical bearing in the trailing arm?

I could feel a little less hesitation on acceleration, a little more consistency, and a little more NVH. I no longer autocrossed the car at that point though so it's hard to say definitely how good it was at the real limit.
