View Full Version : mk4 / spacers on lower control arms

Installing the lower arms the instructions say to use supplied spacers on the rear bolt on the lower arms. I am only able to get one to fit , the sleeve in the bushing is butted up tight to the frame ear. Is one ok or should the second washer be used although I would have to force it between the arm and frame. thanks Cobratech

I think my MK4 just used one as well. I think it was on the aft-most ear where I used a single washer. I believe donor arms use both washers...one on each side.

The Manual say "washers" but the installation photo shows only one installed.

That's correct - we use the single washer on the rear mount point because the spacing between the rear tabs is greater than the front tabs. The donor arm has a wider bushing, but we use identical bushings on the arms we fabricate here.
