VIN ID for Subaru

I am researching a VIN number and the 7th digit is a 4. does anyone know what this means???

My reference starts at 5 and goes 5: TS 7: RS 8: outback 9: WRX and 0: STI

Evidentally this is the grade of model.

The way i understand the prefered donar supported by FFR is an impreza or an impreza WRX....... not an outback, legacy or anything else.

There's really nothing different about the pre 09 Forrester that matters to us. Swap parts are all the same. Legacy on the other hand has to be 89-99 in 00 they changed the rear suspension.
