Dave, and all his family members, I cannot thank you enough for the food a hospitality
Kicking off the Cruise-In with your open house makes the trip all worthwhile.
However, I have to apologize for not charging my battery on my camera. I only got a few 'people' pictures before it stopped; for those of you that didn't make it, here's what you missed:

What a great weekend!
A BIG Thank You(!) to everyone who came out Friday. The cruise was interesting; we stopped for gas at the beginning, and promptly lost two participants! We reconvened at the house and tried again. In 10 miles we lost two more! When we reached Dana point, we were down to 4 cars, but those who persevered were rewarded with a fantastic view of the pacific from a private park on a bluff just above the water. Thank you to John Tongish for leading us into his gated community to enjoy the view.
When we got back to the house I had to take it how many people were there. What a turnout! Everyone was hungry and we had ourselves a FEAST!
Lesa and I had a blast talking to old friends and meeting new ones. How can we possibly top it next year? Obviously we can't because all the cool people came this year!
Thanks again to everyone who attended. We can't wait to do it again!
:)

holy smokes I forgot to mention all the fantastic folks who brought all the wonderful food and spirits! The pie, the fantastic wine, those INCREDIBLE desserts. Oof! Took me right off my diet. I owe you all a big debt of gratitude.
I think most of all I owe the biggest thanks to all the great spouses of us lugheads who made friends with Lesa! She had a great time with you and it makes the potential of getting her into the roadster for a cruise sometime all the greater! Thanks again!

Hey, out of curiosity, did anyone got a long shot of all the cars in the street at once? I didn't get a count of how many there were...

David.....the AZ contingent gives a big thumbs up on the BBQ at your house. We will change our plans for next year and come directly to your house from PHX rather than come through San Diego. Great food, great people and even greater setting for the BBQ. I feel sorry for the folks that didn't come by for the fun. Lesa did a great job and we all appreciate how difficult it is to have 56 people at a BBQ in your back yard. Congrats and a big Valley-of-the-Sun saaaaaaluuuutttte. Thanks.

David, Got to hand it to you, AWESOME pics of a party that I missed out on. I know first hand that your middle name IS hospitality. Maybe next year I won't have to stay at work and get to dig into the delicious FOOOOOD!!!! Well done, Sir.

Thanks again guys. I really do appreciate it. I'll have Lesa read this thread. She had a great time!
Kenny, the crock pot was filled with Lesa's Tamale soup. I don't know where she comes up with this stuff, but I'm always more than happy to try her creations...

..And to you Mr. Smith, no thanks are necessary. I'm happy to call you a friend and to help out where I can.
I'm looking forward to the Open House this year! I might even stick around for a bit afterward! ;)

Dave I think next year you need to park the cars diagonally in front of the house for a true concourse shot. Maybe we can get them all on your lawn? Then we'll do a floating platform in the pool for a "Snakes in the Ocean" theme with some water squirters going over it? Just throwing around some ideas. I can't see it getting much better unless you start thinking WAY outside the box. ;)
