Thanks Dave, I would really appriciate that. Everytime I call "it will be a couple of weeks". Also know of other complete kits that have gone out since with pipes included. It is just a little frustrating.

The color is Portafino Blue Ford Code M6623 or Dupont B9438. The white stripes I would have to check with the painter. I believe we picked a Toyota white. Nothing special just a bright white.

LOL, yea I think the guys at the build school would be upset. They have been using it the since before '08. But we could start offering it in different types of woods and laminates.

Worked on the roll bars yesterday. Ended up using the Tangent Technologies - "roll bar kit" to hide the attachment of the 3rd leg to the hoop.

Really worked out well.

Finished the Kool Mat, sound and thermal insulation from Breeze. The precut pieces were a real time saver.

Also installed the "elephant ears" within the wheel wells

This is a fantastic post and a good looking car coming together. I live just north of you in Baltimore and contemplating finally jumping into a FFR roadster.

Feel free to come visit if it will help with your decision. I really did not consider any other kits. I had worked on a couple of other builds with friends cars and was pretty much sold on FFR.
I actually have a more complete showing of the build on ffcars.com, http://www.ffcars.com/forums/17-factory-five-roadsters/302546-patterson-build-thread.html

You can email me at bpatterson@akridge.com with any other questions you might have.

It appears the "predrilled" cutouts for the front turn signals are for a different brand of lights. The mounting hole were too wide spread. And as long as I was redrilling them, I reoriented them as well.

Some where between installing the body and now, I developed a short in the rear harness got to the tail lights. The next big adventure

Found the short! Actually it was just the license plate tag light wire laying loose in the trunk :p So was able to install working tail lights.

Does this tag make my butt look big?

Started working on the side pipes. Found the same issue others have had. Engine is sitting perfectly level but the driver's side header outlet flange is positioned about an 1 1/2" higher than the passenger's side.

Did a few searches and found a good solution would be to mill the flange at the heads about 5 degrees. The problem was I could not find anyone near by with a milling machine able to strap in a piece that cumbersome. So, next best thing, I loosened up the motor mounts and adjusted the motor's position until both header outlet flanges were the same distance from the ground. Still had to remove or open up the hole. But the pipe is sitting pretty level or parallel with the car.

The other side we did not have to open the hole vertically at all, but it is having issues horizontally. The pipe is sitting further inside the body (because the engine is not centered in the car) and will need a 1/2" to 3/4" worth of spacers to position it properly, Mark Reynolds, you've got orders.

Both side pipe installation is complete. Driver's side bolts up fine after a little engine adjustment and repositioning. Passenger side needed 1/2" of spacers that were supplied by Breeze Automotive
