For those of you who have seen the 818 in person, judging by the body panels and the frame, just how "modular" do you think this car will be?

Dave's recent comments got me thinking more and more of how cool it would be to essentially have enough body panels to essentially go from full roadster to full coupe (if/when they actually release the coupe version). It would be awesome if we could just spend a couple hours in our garage to change the car from a roadster to coupe.

Does anyone think this is a feasible option? Or is my line of thinking a little too optimistic?

I haven't seen the 818 in person, but based on FFR's commitment to the "swatch-watch" concept, I think that possibility is entirely feasible. That doesn't mean it will happen. But if the coupe is built on the same, unmodified chassis, it seems to me that could be a very doable thing. Just my opinion, that and three bucks will get you a cup of coffee at Starbucks.

I wonder how popular the 818 will have to be for aftermarket companies to take notice and develop body panels for it.

I would like to see a SuperGT/JGTC body design, just something completely over the top and super wide. But I know that would be something that FFR wouldn't offer.

I'm excited to see what people come up with over the next few years!

You can currently do the coupe to roadster on the 33 now. My guess is FFR will do the same for the 818 if possible.

It looks like the body panels would allow for a roadster to coupe fairly easily.... right now for that change the biggest issue would be windows...

The soft top will be an interesting decision vs making a T top for instance... I have ideas but too many projects.
