In particular about the styling, the lack of a coupe option, sti tranny, and flat four boxer only (as opposed to flat 6).

I see alot of new people coming to this forum asking the same questions over and over and it would be nice if they could get their answers in one place. Better to have a FAQ thread that answers everything than to make new inductees feel dumb and out of place.

What do you say mods.

dooo eeettt.

At least link the important threads on the subject. Give people some good reading to go through.

I know the idea of sub forums was brought up before but shot down. Why can't we just have two? One for general/misc discussion and one for tech talk?

I don't think it was shot down. Just not done.

People most likely to ask the same questions over and over are the least likely to do a forum search or look at a sticky.

Good idea just the same.

IIRC, the conversation was that the moderators don't have the time (or sometimes knowledge) to maintain stickies. The option was PM a moderator and set up a user maintained sticky, but it doesn't look like anybody took up that torch.

I think that these were the options because there was a strong desire to not have meandering, mostly useless past the first post stickies.

There is also a Wiki system already set up to use.

Just have a FAQ Sticky that makes the following points:

- No more user input on the chassis

- No flat 6 engine

- No hardtop (at least not yet), but softtop at launch

- No STI tranny

Anything else?

I think a better explanation would suffice, but that's the gist of it. It wont be too hard.

We should also clean up the current stickies. Some aren't very relevant anymore.

...but it doesn't look like anybody took up that torch.

If that's the only issue, I officially volunteer. The OCD part of me thinks we need some organization.

HMMMM, just that one point.... I think NO flat 6 is a bit too far. If you're building the car, you can modify it slightly. I'd say just put a link to the thread where the differences in the Flat 6 are stated. and say that it'll take a LOT of extra work.

though if someone wanted to sticky the Transmission thread, i'll still be keeping it updated.

I agree with you. I'm still on the fence as to whether or not I might try it out of the gate. I'm fairly confident I can deal with the electronics and use the 5mt. Even if not, the auto those come with in the US have the manual shift feature, which would make paddle shifters a no-brainer. But that's for another thread... :)

I guess the final thing would be the following:

-ANY mod can be done with enough TIME and MONEY
