Quick Update:
Just received my plates and ready for the summer. Approx 18 months to complete (minus paint) by working approx 4-5 hours every Saturday afternoon in my garage (Coyote & TKO600).
Great project! Thx Factory Five and team for providing such a high quality product that the average Joe can tackle.
I have attached a few pics. ;)

Congratulations on the build. I remember when mine was at that stage for about 4 months.

Awesome! Mine is at the same stage (minus the plates) and headed off to the painter this weekend! Nice to see a couple of Coyotes ready to run.

Thx
400 watt amp / 100 watts per channel (aluminum box below the sterio) with 4 well placed 150+ watt capable Alpine speakers (2 in rear wall between seats and 2 in trans tunnel with sound reflecting backing plates which keep speakers out of the elements) does the trick. No problem hearing the sterio over the pipes. Sterio and amp realistically pumps out 80 watts clean - which is way too much volume if you want to keep your hearing..
The engine is surprisingly tame but growels when needed. I don't know how often I will be using the sterio though.

Looks great! I imagine you will have so much fun driving it that you might even forget about the paint.
I enjoyed looking at your pictures. Depending on when I get my car 'finished' I may be driving in gel coat too.
Thanks for posting the pictures, George

Thanks for the feedback!
The quality of the FFR MK4 allows for a quality build and results that everyone is happy with. It is amazing the positive comments that I get even without paint. Then I lift the hood to show the fit of the engine bay with the Coyote - many smiles.
I have installed the reverse light and completed a few additional items - proper alignment of body and doors etc, etc. I note the doors have a raddle from the internal frame against the door panel however I am thinking of spraying with insulation foam (suggestions welcome)
I am planning on paint in June which means removing all of the lights, windshield etc, etc to have doors and hood / trunk properly fit with body work followed by removal, final body work and paint.
Still deciding on colors - thinking slight dark silver with a light silver stripe or traditional blue with white stripe (??). Red looks great but is the most ticketed color according to my insurance agent.
I may also move the amp (silver box) to the trunk to clean up the dash area. Stereo is a nice addition and there is no problem hearing it under normal driving conditions normal RPM.
I will provide an update once fully completed

Update
Going in for Paint next month (or so)
I thought I would miss the build process but after getting accustom to the sensory overload, I love driving my MK4 so much that I have not pulled my motorcycle out of the garage this year.
Very tight and responsive - amazing car!

Jester... No kidding! I got mine licensed yesterday. Put about 50 miles on, and was begging for any reason to get in the car. Spent 30 minutes at the local Wal-Mart parking lot talking to people who just pulled up to ask "what is that" and "Is that a real Cobra!". My wife wondered why it took me so long to pick up salad dressing. Today, it was cold and rainy, and I found myself standing in the garage pouting that I couldn't get out and drive somewhere!
