View Full Version : Rod End Fitment to IRS LCA

I installed the rod ends on the IRS LCA. All the rod ends went on easily with out using any tools. One is a bear to get tightened on to the arm. I checked for cross threading and see none. I applied some WD40 which helped a bit. I even tried the rod end on other locations with the same results so I suspect the bolt end may be slightly over size.

Is there anything I can do to make it easier to get on and adjust? Will this make for difficulties doing alignments later?

Thanks, Carl

Run a tap through the threads. Probably some welding slag, dirt, or powdercoat in there.

The tap would be my first suggestion, too - it's a 3/4"-16 thread. Give a call at 508-291-3443 or email tech@factoryfive.com if you have any trouble.

Hope your build is going well!
