Hi Guys, I have never been comfortable with my Doner PS rack which I stripped and planned on using as manual in my soon to be finished Mk4, so before I put the body on I have decided to buy a new Manual Rack. Any suggestions on which to use? Planning on street use only since we don't have a track here anymore. Some have suggested the FR 1520 - will this fit without any mods or spacers etc? Any other part numbers to research? Thanks in advance.

For street use, you'll probably like an 18:1 ratio rack. Bit easier to turn when the car is just beginning to move.
This might be the one.

Give Mark at Breeze a call and he can hook you up with the right parts.

I am going the PS route on my build and will have the FFR-supplied manual rack for sale when kit arrives, if you are interested and can wait a month or so.
Cheers, Dale
Just noticed you are in Canada; problem?

The steering rack is one of the parts that is not allowed in the kit due to Transport Canada rules.

Thanks guys. Have ordered the new rack. As for being in Canada being a problem.. the only real problem is that I am ready to go kart and there is 14 inches of snow in my driveway. Cheers.
