After years of dreaming then months of planning I ordered my full Kit. And yesterday to celebrate my Birthday, Bob from Stewart Transport delivered my new baby! I spent the afternoon getting the body off the frame and over to the body buck and hoisting the buck up to the ceiling and then started the inventory. I will finish the inventory this week and then start on pulling off the alum pannels.
Best Birthday Ever!

Looks good, love the raised body on day one, very cool. You must have a very understanding wife as well with all those boxes in the house :-)
All the best!

Beautiful baby. Proud father. Nice nursery. Congratulations!
(I'm betting your wife is out of town and the baby's stuff will be moved into the garage before she gets back. Or, YOU might be sleeping in the garage.)

Congrats. I hope to be in your position soon. My wife gave the approval and now I'm just waiting for the right time to buy. I hope there's a good sale or annual discount coming soon that can push up my purchase date. Anyone know of what FFR has done in the past?
Happy birthday buy the way and I agree that the sooner the boxes are out of the house, the better :).
Keep us posted on your build progress from time to time.

Yes, the boxes in the house is only temporary while the inventory is going on.... Soon most of them will be stored strategically on shelves in the garage. Thank you all for the warm regards.

Ok I have been negligent on my posting. I have made some solid progress and I owed the required sitting in the roadster photo. My friend snapped this one last night as we were finishing up the mock up for a rear glovebox door.
Here a a couple of pics to show the progres. This has been way more fun than hoped for.

fubar,
GREAT progress! We have several mods in common. I have a box behind the cockpit and a trunk box in my MKIII.
Lookin' real good. Don't be a stranger, and post more updates!

Fubar-great progress but geeez guy, April til August w/o a post??? We all enjoy progress updates so make the next one a little quicker please. Ha, Ha. BTW, you will love that trunk. I did that as a retrofit on my MKII over last winter and it has been really nice.
